A hobby that outgrew itself.

JP Lumina is one person, a collection that keeps growing, and a family that pulled me back into it.

I collected Pokémon cards as a kid, like plenty of people my age did. The binder ended up in a cupboard and stayed there for years. What brought it back was my girlfriend and son. Seeing how much they loved Pokémon made me want to open a pack again, and that was that.

One pack turned into a few more. A couple of good pulls turned into a collection that outgrew its shelf, and before long I had doubles sitting in boxes that I would rather see in someone else's binder. That is where JP Lumina started.

Pokémon is where the collection started, and it is still the biggest part of what we sell. English and Japanese, singles and sealed product.

Every single card is sleeved and checked before it leaves the house. We describe conditions the way we would want to read them ourselves, so nothing surprises you when the envelope arrives.

Pokémon is where we started, not where we plan to stop. Other trading card games, games and collectibles are slowly making their way onto the shelves. When they do, they get the same treatment: honest condition, careful packing, and no games with the price.

Cards need protecting, and we are not about to send you one in a bare envelope. That is why sleeves, toploaders and binders are part of the shop. They are the same ones we use for our own collection, and if we would not trust our own cards to it, we will not sell it to you.

Somewhere along the way, collecting turned into making. We design our own accessories: stands for graded slabs, deck boxes, display pieces.

They are our own designs rather than something you will find anywhere else, and they will be for sale right here on the site.

Most sets are already in the Lumina Dex, English and Japanese alike. Missing something? Let us know and we will add it.

For now it covers Pokémon only. If we branch out into other trading card games, the Dex grows with them. And there are more tools on the way.

Our own webshop is here. Order directly from us, pay with iDEAL, and see the whole stock in one place — no platform in between, and no platform fees buried in the price.

Everything runs through our own shop: one place to see what is in stock, one set of terms for payment, shipping and returns, and one address to reach us if anything comes up.
